Entry #4. Los Angeles, CA vs. Phoenix, AZ

Los Angeles, CA ❤

Phoenix, AZ ❤

Choices. hmmmmm. Listen, I am here to compare and contrast the two cities that have my heart. I am a Arizona native. Born and Raised. Arizona is honestly hit or miss for me. My feelings for Arizona as a state changes daily. One day I will admire a beautiful tall Saguaro cactus and be like "wow. thats a nice cactus, I like that cactus. I love living in AZ. Such beautiful views" hahaha. The next day I will leave my house and be blasted by the blistering 110 degree weather and contemplate on packing my bags and being one with the penguins and move to Antartica. You may be wondering "If you're a Arizona native aren't you used to the dreadful weather?" NO. HELL NO. Arizona is on some other shit, it seems every year the weather gets worse and more miserable 😩 HAHAHA. With that being said, what is there to do in AZ when the heat gets unbearable? I mean sure you can go to Wet N Wild and pay an arm and a leg to swim in children piss or you can travel a easy 5 hours West and that puts you at the beautiful Los Angeles. well... besides all the trash on the streets and the overwhelming amount of pollution and smog in the air. just ignore all of that! look at the beautiful ocean! Well, if you can look past all of that trash on the beach and how run down the city of Los Angeles is, it can be a fun summer get away. Personally, my family goes pretty much every single year and when we go we love spending our time at Venice Beach and Santa Monica pier. We also love going to Universal Studios Hollywood, which is my personal favorite. Its really ironic that I want to move and live in Los Angeles so bad. I am constantly talking trash about how dirty the city is. How its over crowded. How you literally sit on the 405 or I-5 for at least 2 hours to get anywhere around that city. There is just something about Los Angeles that I love so much and I can't really pinpoint what it is. Maybe its the nice year round 70 degree weather. Maybe its beautiful tall palm trees lining each and every street you drive down. See I have a vision for myself. My vision is to be a Real Estate Agent and dabble in Interior Design and Staging here and there. The only problem is I don't see that for myself here in Phoenix, AZ. I see it more in LA. Everyone in Los Angeles has a dream or a project they are working on and that is very inspiring to me. I see myself in Los Angeles selling houses driving a shiny white Range Rover, not living in AZ driving my kia. NOW LISTEN I love my Booshie "Bougie" little kia so do not get me wrong 😂. There are 2 things that are holding me back from living in Los Angeles. Money and Family. My family would rather listen to Paris Hiltons new album on repeat then ever move to California. They love Arizona. They love how simple life is here and how the worst thing that happens here is dust storms. I could not be without family, Let alone not live in the same state. Like previously mentioned, Money is a huge set back as well. Most LA apartments range from $1,800 - $2,300 a month for a DECENT studio apartment that will get you a overwhelming 300 sq. ft. Arizona on the other hand can get you a newly renovated 1 bedroom apartment for $900 - $1,200 in Scottsdale. Its a tough decision to make. AZ? or CA? leave your feedback in the comments I would love to hear your thoughts.
